Homily for the 19th Sunday by Fr. Joel

Ordinary Time, 19th Sunday. Christ warns us that he will come unexpectedly. Those who welcome His kingship look forward to His coming with joyful expectation. Those who resent His kingship experience fearful expectation. Do we welcome or resent the kingship of Christ in our lives? An opportunity I have the welcome or resent Christ’s kingship is being transferred to a new parish. I was encouraged by hearing an old favorite song, Love Changes Everything. (8 Aug 2010)

” Love will turn the world around…” What a powerful message from this beautiful song. I wish we have a lot of love floating around us, then this world will be a wonderful place to live in!
Thank you for sharing this video with us Father Joel. I wish you all the best in your new assignment.
BTW,The Royal Albert Hall – my sister and I could hardly wait to attend a performance of a British singer there in October. This video you shared certainly gave me an idea of how grand this place is.
As you leave St.Mary’s and St Francis, We at St Anthony’s and our sister parishes of St Patrick and Holy Trinity are also saying good-bye to Father Patrick Beno. As a parishioner, we also go through the same emotions of good bye and hello. I’d just like to let you know we will welcome you with open arms as I’m sure St Mary’s and St Francis will welcome Father Patrick.
I forgot to add one comment about your arrival at St Anthony’s, St Patrick, and Holy Trinity….. We won’t help you hang up your pictures!!! :)
