Once upon a time, there was a little boy… who discovered he was the son of the King! In today’s Gospel reading, Jesus hears a voice say, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Jesus’ mission is to teach us that we are also Sons and Daughters of God. We were each adopted by God at Baptism. We are too busy explaining away our faults to truly hear the Father tell us: You are my beloved children.
