Mary of the Month (March 2013)
In case you might be tempted to anxiety over the future of the Church, here is a magnificent rendition of the “woman clothed with the sun, the moon at her feet.” This biblical image describes Mary, but it also describes God’s plan for the Church. Even though the Church is an outcast in so many ways, God has promised to give her Heavenly glory and royal dignity.
From the Church of Visitation in the Holy Land.

Thank you for sharing this picture. Like a large tree, this picture, and the church will endure. I feel Pope Benedict has arranged an opportunity for the Cardinals to gather in private to confer about problems, solutions & find someone free of the taint of sexual abuse. These men know the problems of the Curia, the Bank, etc. And now together with the Holy Spirit & many, many prayers embark on smoother waters or in the midst of the storm find Jesus, and the next Pope.
